Lorna H. Simmerman, O.D. – Optometrist in Wilmington, Delaware

Dr. Lorna H. Simmerman is a third-generation optometrist. She decided at the age of 13 to follow in the footsteps of her father and grandfather in helping people see the world the best that they can. She has been in practice since 1998.
Dr. Simmerman’s thorough training and clinical experience have led to a special interest in geriatrics, ocular disease, pre- and post-operative care, dry eye syndrome and multifocal contact lens fittings, along with primary care and contact lenses.
She is a patient and caring person who feels that everyone deserves a comprehensive eye exam. She feels that it is important that her patients understand their diagnosis and how she is going to improve their vision.
Dr. Simmerman received her Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary science from Arcadia University. She obtained her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Optometry degrees from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she earned Clinical Excellence and Clinical Honors. Dr. Simmerman was president of the New Jersey Student Society of Optometric Physicians and a member of the Speakers Bureau. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Delaware Optometric Association.
